Management Accountant (Fixed-Term Contract - 9 Months)

£40,000 - £45,000 | Aintree (Hybrid)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a PE-backed, fast-growing entrepreneurial group based in Aintree, Liverpool

This is a 9-month fixed-term role, offering excellent exposure to a multi-entity group environment and the chance to work closely with senior stakeholders during a period of continued growth and transformation.

The Role

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, with day-to-day support from an experienced Management Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering timely and accurate financial information to support decision-making across the group.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Production of monthly management accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and intercompany
  • Supporting monthly P&L reviews with Managing Directors and budget holders
  • Assisting with the external audit process
  • Responding to day-to-day finance queries from the wider business
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis across multiple systems
  • Supporting annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting
  • Providing cover for Accounts Assistant duties when required

About You

This role would suit a hands-on, industry-trained accountant who is keen to develop and grow with the business.

You will ideally have:

  • Proven month-end experience (essential)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience within an industry / group environment
  • A proactive, adaptable approach and strong relationship-building skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with forecasting, financial modelling or leading P&L reviews is advantageous but not essential.
