Are you an Internal Auditor looking to expand your expereince within a Top 10 Firm?

A growing Internal Audit and Risk team with offices in Manchester and Liverpool is looking for an Assistant Manager, paying a salary of £45,000 - £55,000 depending upon expereince. You could be based in either Liverpool or Manchester.

Your Assistant Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage your own portfolio of internal audit, risk and advisory engagements, balancing planning, execution and delivery.
  • Lead audits and specialist assignments, ensuring high-quality assurance and insightful outcomes for clients.
  • Supervise, coach and support more junior team members to build capability and confidence.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, communicating effectively with stakeholders including Senior Managers, Directors and Partners.
  • Apply data analytics, professional judgement and innovative approaches to enhance governance, controls and risk management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver value-led assurance and advisory solutions.

Assistant Manager Attributes:

  • Relevant professional experience in internal audit or equivalent risk & assurance work.
  • Recognised professional qualification such as CIA (with QIAL), CMIIA/MIIA, CCAB or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver audits with sound judgement and constructive challenge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable engaging at all levels.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and flow-charting tools; familiarity with internal audit systems or data analytics tools is a plus.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
