Management Accountant (9-Month Fixed Term Contract)
Liverpool | Hybrid Working (2 Days Office / 3 Days Home)

The Role


As Management Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial information, supporting operational decision-making, and ensuring strong financial control across housing services and development projects.

Key Responsibilities


  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary

  • Business partnering with housing and operational managers

  • Budget setting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning

  • Monitoring rental income, service charges, and void performance

  • Supporting development appraisal and scheme viability analysis

  • Assisting with grant accounting and compliance reporting

  • Balance sheet reconciliations and oversight of accruals and prepayments

  • Cash flow forecasting and treasury support

  • Supporting year-end processes and external audit requirements

  • Identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies and performance improvements

  • Producing KPI and performance reports for senior management

About You


  • Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or equivalent experience

  • Strong experience in management accounting or finance analysis

  • Previous experience within the housing, social housing, or property sector is highly desirable

  • Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with non-finance stakeholders

  • Strong Excel and financial systems skills

  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
