Assistant Management Accountant

Location: Liverpool City Centre
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
Type: Permanent, Full Time

The Role

We are working with a growing organisation based in Liverpool City Centre who are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to support the finance function and contribute to accurate, timely management reporting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a part‑qualified accountant or an experienced finance professional looking to progress within a supportive and forward‑thinking finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Producing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month‑end close
• Preparing accruals, prepayments and journals
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
• Variance analysis and commentary for senior stakeholders
• Assisting with audit queries and year‑end processes
• Working collaboratively with other departments to improve financial controls

About You

• Part‑qualified (ACCA / CIMA) or qualified by experience
• Previous experience in a management accounting or finance role
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to work with financial systems
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to explain financial information clearly
• Proactive mindset and keen to develop professionally
