Interim Management Accountant (Maternity Cover)


We are delighted to be partnering with a growing, UK-based technology organisation who are seeking to appoint an experienced Interim Management Accountant on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.


Working in a hybrid environment, this opportunity is ideal for a qualified Management Accountant who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced, commercially focused business.

The Role:
Reporting directly into the CFO, this role will cover all aspects of Management Accounting and will sit within a collaborative finance function encompassing Accounting, Transactional Finance, Legal and Compliance.

  • Preparation of Group Management Accounts, including detailed commercial analysis
  • Preparation of draft monthly Board reporting
  • Calculation and posting of key supplier accruals, deferred income and prepayments
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Production of VAT returns and corporation tax analysis
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Supporting the CFO with the adoption of AI tools
  • Acting as a key stakeholder in the preparation of statutory accounts and liaison with auditors
  • General finance duties, including supporting wider Group finance activities and ad-hoc transactional support

Chief Financial Officer

The Candidate:

  • Pro-active and motivated individual with a strong commitment to accuracy
  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and perform effectively under pressure
  • Confident working within a team-based environment
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
  • AI skills desirable

Salary / Benefits:

  • Up to £60,000, dependent on experience
  • Performance-related commission
