Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be working with a rapidly growing service business based in Chester to recruit a Finance Manager. Reporting to the Head of Finance you will be responsible for overseeing the running of the finance department, monthly reporting, statutory returns, financial analysis and commercial business partnering. This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of an ambitious business expansion.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with cross-functional teams across the business to transform financial data into meaningful commercial insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Support the Head of Finance in the preparation and delivery of the annual budget, periodic reforecasts, and cash flow forecasting and analysis.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, board packs, and management information (MI), ensuring key stakeholders receive clear financial performance reporting.
- Build and maintain robust Excel financial models from scratch to support business cases, pricing strategies, investment appraisals, and wider commercial decision-making.
- Deliver ad hoc financial and commercial analysis for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board, providing insight into business performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting to improve financial visibility and support data-driven decision-making.
- Leverage AI tools to streamline financial analysis, modelling, reporting, and document drafting, improving efficiency and productivity.
- Line manage, mentor, and develop one to two members of the finance team, supporting their technical development and performance.
- Support the year-end audit process and statutory reporting requirements, working closely with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion.
Skills Required:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with 3-5 years post qualification experience
- Business partnering and FP&A experience
- Strong Excel, power BI and financial modelling skills
- Confidence producing board-level reporting and MI
- Ambitious, driven and highly analytical
