Management Accountant
Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing and ambitious organisation who are seeking to appoint an experienced Group Management Accountant to join their finance team.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for a driven finance professional looking to take ownership of the month-end process, support the wider finance function, and develop a team within a fast-paced business environment.

Job Duties
- Preparation of monthly management accounts through to review stage by the Finance Manager
- Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation and posting of journals, including accruals, prepayments, loans and other adjustments
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register and fixed asset accounting
- Production of month-end reports together with detailed variance analysis
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Responsibility for the control and oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers
- Assisting with cost centre reviews, budgeting and budgetary controls
- Supporting external audits and responding to auditor queries
- Acting as a key link between senior finance stakeholders and the wider finance team
- Handling internal stakeholder queries and communicating financial information to non-finance colleagues
Ideal Experience
- AAT Qualified, ACCA/CIMA PQ or QBE
- Previous experience within a medium to large organisation
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with previous experience at Assistant Management Accountant level or above
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and complex formulas
- Strong systems knowledge and the ability to quickly adapt to new software
- Demonstrable experience identifying and implementing process improvements
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
