Assistant Management Accountant
Liverpool | Full-Time | £35,000 DOE

Accountable are partnered with a well-established business in the construction sector known for delivering high-quality work across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their friendly, supportive finance team at their Liverpool office.

The Role:
As Assistant Management Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting the wider finance function with the preparation of monthly management accounts and essential financial reporting. You'll be involved in everything from EOM processes to reconciliations and statutory reporting-offering plenty of variety and responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts

• Analysing variances and assisting with EOM procedures

• VAT and statutory returns preparation

• Bank and loan reconciliations across multiple accounts

• Processing intercompany transactions and journals

• Credit card reconciliations

• Supporting statutory accounts and year-end audit

• Ad hoc finance duties as required

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in a similar management accounts or finance role

• Understanding of CIS (prefered)

• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage)

• AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA

• Confident communicator and genuine team player
