Role Overview

They are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to support our financial operations across two key European sites. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting decision-making at all levels of the business.

This position is ideal for someone looking to develop their career within a fast-paced, commercial environment where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver timely monthly flash reports for both European entities

  • Process and manage accruals and prepayments, ensuring accurate month-end reporting

  • Complete and reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs

  • Work closely with the Group Financial Controller on budgeting and forecasting activities

  • Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring completeness and compliance

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, streamlining financial processes and reporting

  • Collaborate with local teams to ensure alignment of financial practices and adherence to deadlines

  • Maintain strong internal controls across all areas of responsibility

Skills & Experience Required

  • AAT qualified and looking to gain (ACCA/CIMA) qualification

  • Proven experience in a management accounting or assistant accountant role

  • Strong understanding of accruals, prepayments, and bank reconciliations

  • Excellent Excel skills and confident handling large volumes of data
