Financial Controller / Temp to Perm / 75k - 80k / Hybrid / Warrington

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for leading the financial reporting process, ensuring robust controls, and managing statutory accounts and audits. You'll act as a key partner to the Finance Director and contribute to strategic decision-making through accurate and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• 
  Manage and maintain robust financial controls across the business.
• 
  Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
• 
  Ensure timely and accurate group consolidations and internal reporting packs.
• 
  Lead month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• 
  Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• 
  Work with operational teams to drive financial understanding and accountability.
• 
  Drive continuous improvements in processes and systems.
• 
  Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• 
  Mentor and develop members of the finance team.

Requirements:

• 
  Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• 
  Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager in an FMCG or fast-paced environment.
• 
  Strong understanding of statutory accounting and experience managing audits.
• 
  Proficiency in financial consolidations and reporting.
• 
  Excellent Excel and ERP system skills.
• 
  Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
