Senior Interim Accountant - 12-Month FTC
£70,000 - £80,000 + hybrid working + generous benefits
Chester / Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days from home)

We're working with a fast-growing, PE-backed organisation, who are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to step in on a 12-month contract. This is a key hire to support business continuity while the core finance team focuses on the rollout of a number of new change & transformation projects.

You'll be a steady hand during a busy period-managing core finance operations, producing accurate reporting, and acting as a trusted partner to the wider business.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading month-end close processes, including preparation and review of journals, accruals, and prepayments

• Producing management accounts and supporting financial reporting for senior stakeholders

• Managing and maintaining short- and medium-term cash flow forecasts

• Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining financial control and accuracy

• Investigating variances and ensuring the integrity of financial data

• Acting as a key business partner to senior leaders, providing financial insight and analysis

• Supporting the ERP implementation team with process input, knowledge transfer, and operational continuity

• Identifying opportunities to streamline finance processes during the transition period
