Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent, full-time

We are seeking a motivated Accounts Assistant - this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid accounts experience who is looking to develop their career in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

As an Accounts Assistant, you will provide essential accounting and administrative support across a wide range of finance functions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing multiple bank accounts: posting transactions, reconciliations, and recording takings.
  • Accounts receivable and credit control: raising invoices, allocating receipts, reconciling accounts, and supporting debtor reporting.
  • Month-end support: preparing reconciliations, posting accruals/prepayments, and assisting the Management Accountant.
  • Assisting with customer and supplier queries, covering team absences, and handling day-to-day communications.
  • Supporting process improvements and contributing to the team's efficiency and success.

About You

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a finance/accounts assistant role (or similar).
  • Excellent numerical and data entry skills, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • A proactive, positive attitude with integrity, reliability, and discretion.
