Adaptable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing privately owned specialist manufacturing company based in Winsford to recruit a Group Financial Accountant. This is an exciting time to join the business as they embark on a period of growth and transformation.

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for Financial Accounts, Group Consolidations and process improvement. This is an ideal opportunity for a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with hands-on experience in consolidations, management reporting, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide proactive support to the Financial Controller in managing group-wide financial reporting
  • Oversee month-end close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of results
  • Post selected transactions where required and review financial data prepared by the wider team
  • Prepare the consolidation and management information pack for shareholders, including results, KPIs, and variance analysis
  • Collaborate with finance and non-finance colleagues to drive efficiency and accuracy
  • Conduct analytical reviews of performance, costs, and margins to support business decisions
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow managementprocesses
  • Lead year-end consolidation and statutory accounts preparationacross the group
  • Liaise with external auditors, addressing complex accounting matters and managing information flow
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, maintaining strong controls and reconciliations
  • Drive improvements in systems and reporting tools, supporting a culture of continuous improvement

Skills Required:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Proven experience in group consolidation, management reporting, and financial control
  • Strong technical skills and confidence in preparing statutory accounts and dealing with auditors
  • Commercially aware, analytical, and comfortable liaising with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Hands-on approach with a proactive mindset and attention to detail
  • Experience in PE-backed or multi-entity environments preferred
  • Strong systems knowledge (Excel, ERP, reporting tools)
