Accountable Recruitment are working with an organisation based in Birkenhead for a Senior Accounts Assistant on a 9 month FTC
Duties;
- Prepare and post monthly payroll journals, and prepare payroll reconciliations.
- Reconcile balance sheet accrual accounts and resolve queries.
- Process cash and cheques logging and paying-in, and collect petty cash from the bank. Resolve queries from Income Team.
- Adhere to month end closedown procedures.
- Run month end budget monitoring reports from Open Accounts and email to budget holders. Deal with any resulting queries.
- Assist with month-end procedures and assist with any other tasks to support the finance team.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end notes to the accounts and audit schedules.
The ideal candidate;
- AAT qualified is desirable
- Experience in a similar role essential
- Fully proficient in Microsoft Office applications (in particular Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Able to work to tight deadlines
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Benefits;
- Salary - £22,941 (37 hours per week)
- Hybrid working pattern (3 days at home and 2 in office)
- 25 days annual leave
