Accountable Recruitment are working with a growing organisation based in Chester for a Finance Manager on a temp to perm / perm / 12 month FTC.

Salary: £35,000


Duties include;

  • Management of sage line 50 system including year end close down and system back ups
  • Preparation of year end accounting schedules and reconciliations
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting reconciliations to trial balance
  • Management of cash and preparation of weekly cashflow forecasts
  • Month end journal and nominal ledger postings
  • Management of prepayments and accruals schedules
  • Management of fixed asset register and depreciation calculations
  • Input of supplier invoices and payment postings
  • Preparation and issue of non-stock purchase orders
  • Management of supplier statement reconciliations
  • Preparation of sales invoice listings
  • Customer receipt postings and reconciliations
  • Completion of credit control procedures
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns for submission to HMRC
  • HSBC and PayPal account postings and monthly reconciliations
  • Preparation of wholesaler monthly rebate calculations
  • Management of credit card and staff expenses


The Candidate;

  • Experience of sage line 50 is essential
  • Qualified at AAT / CIMA level 1 stage
  • High level of analytical ability
  • Experience of working within an SME environment would be highly advantageous.
