Accountable recruitment are looking for a Payments Administrator to join an expanding organisation based near Accrington.

Hours: 9-5 (Fully office based)

Salary: £22,000

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing and compiling payment data and information for payment authorisation
  • Generating weekly list of supplier payments (non-stock, stock, and direct dispatch)
  • Compiling payment runs in authorising payments
  • Generating weekly payment selection report list
  • Processing one off payments, raising CHAPS payments, creating pay runs, and sending for payment
  • Tracking of all outgoing payments
  • Acting as the first point of contact for suppliers for dealing with queries and discrepancies
  • Establishing constructive working relationships with key suppliers
  • Ensure Purchase & Payments manager has carried out the relevant credit checks

Key skills:

  • Working knowledge of Finance practices
  • Supplier Payments background essential for all currencies
  • Excellent communication skills for both internal and external customers
  • High level of excel skills for weekly reporting
  • High attention to detail
  • IT literate
