We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Qualified Financial Controller to join our client, an outstanding, very reputable company with an expertise in Engineering. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in bringing a much needed new approach within the finance operation, ensuring the team is fully engaged and delegating their duties, working closely with the management team to hit business initiatives. Ideal candidate will hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and thrive in a fast paced, demanding enviroment.

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support in the production of monthly information packs / reports for inclusion in the finance reporting pack.
• Administer BACS and internet banking.
• Support in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee and maintain relationship with banking providers
• Secure maximum return on use of surplus cash balances.
• Produce accurate and iterative cash flow forecasts.
• Liaison with internal audit, providing data and manage implementation of recommendations.
• Build and maintain excellent working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure efficient use of existing reporting and provision of management information recommending process improvement where appropriate
• Overseeing a small ledger control team

Competencies:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified accountant.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
• Good networker; able to build cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Experience in liaising with and providing financial data for external professional advisers
