Accountant /12 months Fixed-Term / Stoke (outskirts) / £40k - £45k

- 35 hour week
- 5 days per week office based
- 22 days holiday plus BH
- 10% pension cont.

Accountable Recruitment have partnered with one of the largest independent specialist manufacturers within the UK to find a Accountant on a 12 months fixed-term contract.

With an experienced team of technical, sales and production staff, extensive manufacturing facilities based in the heart of the United Kingdom, my client offers a wide range of products and services to the industry both within the UK and internationally.

The purpose of this role is to:
* Produce monthly management accounts in a timely manner
* Support the Finance Director

Key accountabilities:

• Preparation of month end accounts to final trial balance
• Closing and reconciling ledgers
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Stock movements
• Accruals, prepayments, GRNI and provisions
• Fixed Assets
• Wages accruals
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Board pack graphs and tables
• Petty cash management and month end reconciliation
• Credit control - Limit applications and liaising with insurance provider
• VAT Return and corporation tax payments
• Y/E Audit
• Approving payments
• Cover for Finance assistant tasks, including:
  • Invoice processing
  • Daily bank management
  • Credit Control
